Pardo E72 yacht emphasizes endurance and relaxed cruising

The Pardo E72, a 22-metre luxury cruiser from Pardo Yachts, prioritizes long, leisurely journeys over high speed during a sea trial in Mallorca. Featuring efficient fuel use and a minimalist design, the yacht combines stability with spacious indoor-outdoor living areas. Experts highlight its focus on comfort and eco-conscious performance for extended voyages.

During a spring sea trial off Mallorca, the Pardo E72 demonstrated its appeal as a laid-back luxury cruiser. The yacht, part of Pardo's Endurance series, contrasts with the brand's faster GT and Walkaround lines by emphasizing extended cruises. Veronica Bottasini, Pardo's brand communication manager, noted, “The Endurance range is for long cruises, so the performance is not its top value. The focus is more on the journey than speed and arrival time.”

Powered by twin Volvo Penta IPS 1350 engines, the E72 achieves an eco speed of 12 knots with fuel consumption of 80 litres per hour, offering a range of 900 nautical miles. Its warped hull design, with a decreasing deadrise angle from bow to stern, ensures stability in choppy conditions. Handling proved smooth and intuitive, aided by a large windscreen, 22-inch Garmin displays at the helm, an additional starboard-side station, and six external cameras for easy docking.

The layout includes four cabins: a full-beam master with ample storage, a vanity or office desk, and an en suite featuring his-and-her basins plus separate shower and toilet areas; a VIP cabin; a dayhead; and two forward guest twins, accessed separately for privacy. The main deck promotes seamless indoor-outdoor flow through floor-to-ceiling sliding doors on the aft and starboard sides, creating terraces with fold-down bulwarks. Bottasini explained, “The concept here is to have a continuity of space inside and outside. With the doors and windows open, the saloon and cockpit are one continuous space on the same level where you can enjoy time with friends and family close to the sea.”

Exterior features include convertible aft seating that forms a sunpad over the swim platform, side deck lounging spots, and foredeck sunpads with adjustable backrests. The flybridge offers an L-shaped sofa, dining table, sunloungers, and a small galley, available with an open top and electric bimini or a fixed T-top.

Interiors, designed by BurdissoCapponi Yachts & Design, refine the style of the smaller E60 model. Francesca Burdisso, a co-founder, said, “Pardo asked us to create an interior that builds on the style of the E60, refining it with a more contemporary and elegant approach.” The palette uses matt-finished grey walnut selectively, neutral tones, chevron beige fabrics, Krion Pearl countertops, and sand-coloured resin, accented by warm rust details.

Key specifications include a length overall of 22 metres, beam of 5.66 metres, draught of 1.7 metres, displacement of 50 tonnes, fuel capacity of 6,000 litres, and freshwater capacity of 1,200 litres. Pricing starts from €3,690,000 excluding VAT. The E72 suits owners seeking a slower pace, with space for two crew or owner operation.
