Plus Ultra's top executives have acknowledged to the judge that they paid a 1% commission for the 53 million euro state rescue granted in 2021.
Julio Martínez Sola, president of the airline, and Roberto Roselli, its CEO, sent writings to the Audiencia Nacional on Monday. In them they admit hiring Julio Martínez Martínez, linked to José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, to secure the rescue managed by SEPI.
The executives detail that they paid 530,000 euros in total through three companies: 249,000 euros to Análisis Relevante, 98,617.53 euros to Voli Analítica SL and 110,799.47 euros to IOT Domotic Europe SL. They also included 46 business class tickets valued at 69,000 euros.
Julio Martínez Martínez also sent a writing to judge José Luis Calama. He states that Zapatero marked the steps to follow and was promptly informed of progress until approval in the Council of Ministers on 9 March 2021.
Plus Ultra has announced an internal investigation to cooperate with justice and correct possible control failures.
