More than two million people flooded the streets of Madrid on Monday to celebrate Spain's World Cup title won against Argentina.
The Spanish national team toured central Madrid on an open-top bus from Moncloa to Cibeles Square, where a giant stage had been set up. The players filed out one by one to the rhythm of personalized songs and danced or sang in front of the crowd.
Luis de la Fuente addressed those present and said: "Together we are stronger, long live Spain". Rodri Hernández also took the microphone to chant "Spain, we are world champions".
According to data from the Government Delegation, more than two million people took part in the celebration, which included performances by Aitana, Lola Índigo and Viva Suecia. The parade concluded after 22.00 hours.
