The 2026 Genesis Invitational resumes at Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, California, after relocating to Torrey Pines last year due to wildfires. This PGA Tour Signature Event features a 72-player field including world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler and No. 2 Rory McIlroy, with a $20 million purse and $4 million for the winner. Tiger Woods hosts but will not compete as he recovers from surgery.
The tournament runs from February 19-22 on the par-71 layout measuring 7,384 yards. Riviera, celebrating its centennial, returns as host after the 2025 event moved south amid Los Angeles-area wildfires that affected the club's boundaries. The field includes all top-10 players in the Official World Golf Ranking, such as Scheffler, who leads betting odds at +300 to +330 after a T4 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, and McIlroy at +1100 to +1300 following his T14 there with a final-round 64.
Ludvig Åberg defends his title from Torrey Pines, where he won by one shot over Maverick McNealy with a back-nine 32. Hideki Matsuyama, the last Riviera winner in 2024 with a record-closing 62, sits at +2000 odds after a T8 at Pebble Beach. Other contenders include Xander Schauffele (+1900 to +2200), Tommy Fleetwood (+1900 to +2500), and Collin Morikawa (+2700 to +3500), fresh off his Pebble Beach victory.
Notable groupings for Rounds 1-2 include McIlroy, Fleetwood, and Morikawa; Scheffler, Schauffele, and Si Woo Kim; and Matsuyama, Åberg, and J.J. Spaun. Sponsor exemptions go to Sahith Theegala via the Charlie Sifford Memorial, past champions Adam Scott and Max Homa, Tony Finau, and Tom Kim. Theegala said, “Receiving this special invitation from Tiger is an honor.”
Coverage airs on Golf Channel (4-8 p.m. ET Thursday-Friday; 1-3 p.m. Saturday-Sunday) and CBS (3-7 p.m. Saturday; 3-6:30 p.m. Sunday), with streaming on ESPN+ starting at 10:15 a.m. ET and Paramount+ for CBS simulcasts. The top 50 and ties, plus players within 10 shots of the lead, advance after 36 holes. Riviera, set to host the 2026 U.S. Women’s Open and 2028 Olympics, tests all facets with Kikuyu rough and Poa annua greens.
