On Sunday, March 1, Alberta skip Kevin Koe led his rink to a 6-4 win over Saskatchewan's Mike McEwen in the morning draw, improving Koe's record to 2-0. McEwen, who moved to 1-1, had taken a 3-2 lead with a double in the fifth end and held a 4-3 advantage after the eighth end. However, Koe's team responded with three points in the 10th and final end to claim the victory.
Other morning session results included New Brunswick's James Grattan defeating Northern Ontario's Sandy MacEwan 8-6, both moving to 1-1. Manitoba's Braden Calvert beat Northwest Territories' Jamie Koe 12-5, with Calvert at 1-1 and Jamie Koe at 0-2. Yukon's Thomas Scoffin topped British Columbia's Cody Tanaka 7-4, both at 1-1.
In the afternoon draw, Team Canada skip Brad Jacobs improved to 3-0 with an 11-2 win over Nunavut's Derek Samagalski. Nathan Young's Newfoundland and Labrador rink edged Prince Edward Island's Tyler Smith 9-8, while Saskatchewan's Kelly Knapp beat Nova Scotia's Kendal Thompson 8-5.
Later in the evening draw, Koe extended his unbeaten streak to 3-0 with a 9-4 win over Grattan in nine ends. McEwen rebounded to 2-1 by defeating Scoffin 10-5 in eight ends. Manitoba's Matt Dunstone stayed at 3-0 with a 9-4 victory over Tanaka, and Jamie Koe earned his first win, 7-6 in 11 ends over MacEwan, who dropped to 1-2.
The tournament features round-robin play among provincial and territorial teams, with the top teams advancing to playoffs.
