The African National Congress held a rally in Sibasa to honour Nelson Mandela's legacy, with party leaders pledging continued efforts on jobs and poverty reduction.
The African National Congress in Limpopo organised the event at Makwarela Stadium in Sibasa on 25 July 2026. Provincial Chairperson and Premier Phophi Ramathuba addressed supporters and members, stating the party would work to ensure employment and prevent hunger.
Ramathuba said: “As long as we still have people who are poor, as long as our children are still struggling to pay their fees and still graduating without jobs, as long as we have not yet transformed our economy to be an economy that produces jobs, Madiba we are still going to make sure we dare not fail you.”
Minister of Finance Enoch Godongwana attended the rally. Ramathuba also noted preparations for upcoming local government elections while recommitting to accountable municipalities.
