Thousands of Argentine fans gathered in Times Square on Saturday despite rain to support the national team ahead of the 2026 World Cup final against Spain.
The Argentine squad completed its final training session at the Red Bulls Performance Center in New Jersey starting at 12:30. The first fifteen minutes were open to accredited media.
Lionel Scaloni tested tactics with thirteen players during the session, including Lionel Messi, Cristian Romero and Julián Álvarez. The team will play the final on Sunday at 16:00 at MetLife Stadium.
Meanwhile, the rally in Times Square extended more than ten blocks. Fans wearing shirts, flags and drums sang despite heavy rain. An 88-year-old supporter said: "It is the last World Cup of my life".
