Bones were exhumed Thursday in the Tarn at the site indicated by Cédric Jubillar. Searches ended Friday and analysis is underway.
Thursday morning, gendarmes discovered bones, including two femurs, on agricultural land between Mailhoc and Villeneuve-sur-Vère. Cédric Jubillar, who confessed to killing his wife Delphine in late 2020, had led investigators to the site.
The searches lasted two days. The operation was lifted Friday evening. Colonel Jean-Michel Doose stated that the searches should not resume.
The bones are being analyzed at the IRCGN laboratory in Pontoise. Results are expected within a relatively short time, according to Lieutenant-Colonel Stéphane Meyblum. Delphine Jubillar’s uncle, Gérard, expressed his sadness after the discovery.
