The Los Angeles Dodgers visited the White House on Thursday to mark their 2025 World Series championship. President Donald Trump received the team in the Rose Garden, where the 2024 and 2025 trophies were on display.
The back-to-back champions met Trump during their lone off-day on an East Coast trip that includes series against the Yankees, Phillies and Mets. The team presented the president with a personalized World Series ring and a No. 47 Dodgers jersey.
Manager Dave Roberts highlighted the rarity of consecutive titles. "We did something that hasn’t been done in 25 years, going back-to-back as World Series champions," he said. Owner Mark Walter added that the club hopes to return next year.
Trump praised several players, including Shohei Ohtani for his NLCS performance and Freddie Freeman for his Game 3 walk-off homer against the Blue Jays. Clayton Kershaw, who retired after the 2025 title, also attended the ceremony.
The Dodgers signed closer Edwin Díaz and right fielder Kyle Tucker in the offseason to pursue a three-peat, the first since the 1998-2000 Yankees.
