Aftermarket soft luggage maker Giant Loop has introduced updates to its Buckin’ Roll tankbag for 2026, featuring new materials while maintaining its compact design. The changes follow a series of product overhauls since new owners took over in 2022. The bag remains focused on essentials for off-road riding.
Giant Loop, a manufacturer of aftermarket soft luggage for motorcycles, acquired new owners in 2022 and has since been refreshing its product lineup. Last year saw updates to its handlebar bags and accessory pouches. The latest revision targets the Buckin’ Roll tankbag, incorporating new fabrics for the 2026 model year.
The Buckin’ Roll retains its core purpose as a low-profile, small-capacity option with 1.5 liters of volume, suitable for carrying items like a wallet, sunglasses, phone, map, or basic tools. This design allows riders ample space to maneuver around the tank during off-road conditions. The bag detaches easily from its harness, which secures it behind the bike’s gas tank cap using nylon webbing and Duraflex buckles.
Constructed from Giant Loop’s Bomb Shell fabric, the exterior features RF-welded seams for weatherproofing against dust and light rain, though the company notes it may not fully seal during heavy downpours. Reliability comes from YKK zippers. A standout element is the clear smartphone pocket on the lid, equipped with a pass-through port for connecting a charging cable to the bike’s electrical system. This setup enables the bag to function as a simple phone mount, potentially shielding the device’s camera from vibration damage—a frequent issue with handlebar alternatives. As the source highlights, “One is none and two is one,” underscoring the value of a backup navigation option in remote areas.
Available in black or gray, the updated Buckin’ Roll is priced at $119.
