The pro-independence party Junts has rejected any rapprochement with the PSOE following the European Court of Justice ruling that upholds the Amnesty Law.
Sources from Junts leadership stated that the TJUE ruling does not pave the way to support Pedro Sánchez's government again. "¿Esto allana volver con el PSOE? No", they declared, insisting the resolution stems from their persistence rather than actions by the executive.
The pro-independence group recalled that pending agreements, such as the delegation of migration powers to the Generalitat and official status for Catalan in the EU, remain unfulfilled. They demanded that Sánchez deliver for Catalans or step down, suggesting an alternative modeled on the "Starmer route" to continue the term.
Meanwhile, Minister Félix Bolaños welcomed the ruling and said "reconciliación está conseguida". He urged the Supreme Court to apply the Amnesty Law immediately to the independence leaders.
