The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association announced All-MIAA honors for the indoor track and field season. Kalamazoo College earned two spots, while Albion College secured a record six for men and one for women. The honors recognize standout performances from the recent championships.
The MIAA announced its indoor track and field All-Conference honors on Wednesday, highlighting top performers from the season's championships held in Farmington Hills, Michigan. This marks the first indoor season for Kalamazoo College's revived program, which claimed two honors. Sophomore Jack Schneider from St. Louis, Missouri, earned first-team recognition by winning the 5000m in 14:58.93, setting a program record. Fellow sophomore Mason Jett, from Ann Arbor, Michigan, secured second-team honors with a second-place finish in the 800m at 1:58.39, also establishing a Hornets indoor record. Kalamazoo's men's team finished seventh overall at the championships, presented by Collegiate Credit Union.
Albion College celebrated a milestone with a record six men's honorees since the conference began sponsoring indoor track and field in 2016. The recipients include Cooper Bright, Josiah Graddick, Van Norman, Logan Vining, Oghenefejiro Nakireru, and James Grey. On the women's side, Morgan Hurd was named to the second-team All-MIAA squad.
Looking ahead, Kalamazoo's Hornets will open their outdoor season at the Emory Spring Break Classic in Atlanta, Georgia, on March 20-21.
