The University of Missouri track and field team wrapped up its home indoor season with six first-place finishes at the Missouri Invitational on February 6, 2026, at the Hearnes Center Fieldhouse in Columbia. Standout performances included wins in the weight throws, shot put, hurdles, dash, and mile. The Tigers dominated several throwing events, showcasing their strength ahead of upcoming competitions.
The Missouri Invitational marked the conclusion of Mizzou's four-meet homestand for the 2026 indoor track season. Held on Friday, February 6, at the Hearnes Center Fieldhouse, the event featured athletes from schools including Murray State, SIUE, Arkansas State, Kansas City, St. Louis University, Eastern Illinois, Western Illinois, Southeast Missouri, Lindenwood, Ozarks, and Colorado School of Mines.
In the men's weight throw, senior Sam Innes secured first place with a mark of 22.68 meters (74 feet, 5 inches), his third win of the indoor season, while junior Garik Pozecki took second at 20.75 meters (68 feet, 1 inch). The duo repeated their one-two finish from the previous week's Dr. Rick McGuire Invitational. Innes is ranked No. 13 nationally in the event.
The men's shot put saw similar success, with junior Chase Crawford winning with a personal record of 17.74 meters (58 feet, 2.5 inches) and Sam Albert placing second at 16.03 meters (52 feet, 7.25 inches).
On the women's side, sophomore Reagan Kimrey claimed victory in the weight throw at 19.92 meters (65 feet, 4.25 inches), her second gold of the season. Senior Petra Gombas finished third at 17.65 meters (57 feet, 11 inches).

Senior Dillon Leacock notched two silvers: second in the men's 60-meter hurdles (8.11 seconds) and a personal-best 47.79 seconds in the 400-meter dash, the 10th-fastest time in Mizzou history. Sophomore Marlena Tresnjo placed second in the women's high jump at 1.80 meters (5 feet, 10.75 inches), her career best, though she settled for the position due to fewer misses.
Other notable Mizzou results included third places for Anna Vedral in women's pole vault (3.70 meters/12 feet, 1.5 inches) and the mile duo of Hauser and Joshua Allison (4:11.91). In the women's 800 meters, unattached runner Cheyenne Melvin set a facility record of 2:06.62, while Mizzou's Maleah Eggers and Lily Ginsberg placed seventh and eighth with personal records of 2:17.59 and 2:18.17.
Kansas City's Tory Lanham set another Hearnes record in the men's 200-meter dash at 20.93 seconds, improving on his 21.01 from the previous year. Southeast Missouri's Clara Billing won the women's pole vault at 4.10 meters (13 feet, 5.25 inches).
Looking ahead, most of the Mizzou squad will compete at the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Arkansas, with others at the Valentine Invitational in Boston, both on February 13-14.
