Picazzo's Healthy Italian Kitchen, a popular gluten-free chain in Arizona, plans to open its seventh location in Glendale this March. The new site on Happy Valley Road will feature 2,000 square feet of space with indoor and outdoor seating. This expansion marks nearly 23 years since the restaurant's first opening in Sedona.
Picazzo's Healthy Italian Kitchen has been a staple in Arizona for over two decades, starting with its debut location in Sedona more than 20 years ago. The chain has grown to include spots in Scottsdale, Tempe, Paradise Valley, Gilbert, and now a second in Glendale. Managing partner Chris Disney highlighted the expansion in a news release, stating, “It’s a testament to our dedicated team and our loyal customers that Picazzo’s continues to evolve and grow — nearly 23 years after opening the doors to our first location in Sedona.”
The new Glendale restaurant at 3890 W. Happy Valley Road, Suite 169, will occupy 2,000 square feet and offer both indoor and outdoor seating options. Picazzo's had been searching for a suitable West Valley spot for some time, according to Disney.
The menu at Picazzo's emphasizes gluten-free, allergen-friendly dishes, with nearly all items prepared without gluten except for one original crust pizza. Diners can choose from pizzas, pastas, salads, soups, and small plates. Standout offerings include the hot honey fig and salami pizza, cheese bread, baked wings, barbecue chicken pizza, vegan Beyond Sausage and pesto rigatoni, and the signature "vortex" pizza loaded with Italian sausage, salami, pepperoni, mushrooms, black olives, roasted red bell peppers, and caramelized onions. Vegetarian and vegan selections are plentiful.
The Happy Valley location is set to open in March, operating Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. For more details, contact 480-400-7260 or visit picazzos.com.
