Germany's Schattenmann continues their evolution in the heavy metal scene with the release of the official music video for 'Kamikaze,' a single from their forthcoming studio album Endgegner. Set to drop on March 13 through Perception – A Division Of Reigning Phoenix Music, the album promises a sharper, more aggressive sound, produced by Henning Verlage.
The band, known for their progression after four previous studio albums and a Top 10 chart entry with 'Día de Muertos,' positions Endgegner—translating to 'Final Boss' in German—as a bold new chapter. 'Kamikaze' exemplifies this shift, blending pounding rhythms, sharp-edged guitars, and an infectious chorus into a sonically aggressive yet emotionally uplifting track.
Vocalist Frank Herzig explains the song's essence: “Instead of destruction, this is about joy, energy, and freedom. ‘Kamikaze’ translates to ‘divine wind.’ Our song captures the feeling of being carried by the moment, uplifted, full of energy, enjoying every second to the fullest while leaving all rules and conventions behind.” He further elaborates, “It’s a positive, high-energy metal track where the ‘divine wind’ carries you, turning risk into euphoria.”
