PP secretary general Miguel Tellado described Castilla-La Mancha president Emiliano García-Page as the last coconut yogurt in the fridge during an event in Talavera de la Reina.
Tellado stated on Tuesday that García-Page has eleven months left in power and that nobody wants him due to his expiration date. He predicted Paco Núñez will preside over the Junta de Comunidades de Castilla-La Mancha after the next regional elections.
The PP leader suggested García-Page should worry about his own political future, which could involve leading the PSOE after Pedro Sánchez or doing business with José Bono and José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero. He added that Sánchez's disaster will take a toll on the regional president.
Socialist spokesperson Ana Isabel Abengózar replied that Núñez is selling the soul of Castilla-La Mancha so that Génova allows him to run again as candidate. She recalled that Núñez applauded PP cuts when he was mayor of Almansa.
