DPR Commission IV member Rajiv distributed 30,000 sembako packages in Bandung and West Bandung Regencies to ease public burdens during Ramadan. On Thursday, March 5, 2026, DPR Commission IV member from the NasDem Party faction, Rajiv, distributed 30,000 sembako packages to residents in Bandung and West Bandung Regencies, West Java. The distribution was part of Ramadan activities and preparations for Idulfitri 1447 Hijriah/2026, accompanied by Bandung Police Deputy Chief AKBP Putu Hendra Binangkari, particularly in Ciparay Subdistrict.
"I will give souvenirs in the form of sembako packages, hopefully it can help ease the burden on the community in Ciparay Subdistrict. May it be beneficial amid the Ramadan atmosphere," Rajiv stated.
Beyond the social initiative, Rajiv highlighted the need for food stability ahead of Lebaran. He noted that demand for staples like rice, cooking oil, sugar, meat, and eggs typically rises during Ramadan and Idulfitri.
"Therefore, I urge local governments and related agencies to ensure smooth distribution so that there are no price spikes that burden the public," he said.
As a commission member overseeing agriculture, fisheries, and food, Rajiv said he would continue monitoring food availability in his electoral area. He hopes local agricultural production can support community needs during peak demand.
"As entrusted by the people of Bandung and West Bandung Regencies, I will continue to monitor food availability here. I will absorb public aspirations to convey in Jakarta (DPR RI)," he added.
In his one year in office, Rajiv has channeled various aid programs, including the Indonesia Pintar Program (PIP), agricultural tools and machinery (alsintan), cultivators, seeds, and biofloc fisheries programs. He reminded recipient farmer groups not to resell the aid, to advance agriculture in the region.
"I remind farmer groups that received aid, please never sell it again. It's for the community, for farmers so that agriculture in Ciparay advances and develops," Rajiv emphasized.
