El Dorado Hills debuts Shamrock Festival with music and activities

The EDH Shamrock Festival will make its inaugural appearance at El Dorado Hills Town Center on March 14, featuring live music, family-friendly activities, and St. Patrick’s Day festivities. The event begins with a farmers market in the morning and continues into the evening with performances across multiple venues. Organizers aim to unite the community and support local businesses through this new celebration.

El Dorado Hills is set to host its first EDH Shamrock Festival on Saturday, March 14, at the Town Center, bringing a day of entertainment and community spirit ahead of St. Patrick’s Day. The event starts at 9 a.m. with the regular EDH Town Center Farmers Market, running until 1 p.m., which will include early live music in the Amphitheater.

Throughout the day, the Amphitheater will host a series of performances: Matthew Balling at 9 a.m., Dick Larson at 11 a.m., Static Sugar at 2 p.m., a Kids DJ set at 4:30 p.m., and Island of Black and White from 6 to 9 p.m. In the nearby Theatre Plaza, AKA Live will perform from 2 to 5 p.m., followed by Cougar Adams from 6 to 8 p.m. Bagpipe music will add to the festive atmosphere, with performances from 1:30 to 2 p.m. during the farmers market and Piper’s Folly playing from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Rose Garden at Boring Rose Brewing Company.

This festival builds on the recent Listening Lounge music showcase, where community votes selected Matthew Balling, AKA Live, and Cougar Adams to return as part of the “EDH Soundtrack of 2026.” Family-oriented activities will include games, cotton candy, and food options, with Jameson and Guinness available. Boring Rose Brewing Company will offer green beer in Theatre Plaza, while Brickyard Counter & Bar sponsors the Amphitheater music.

Produced in partnership with the EDH Arts and Entertainment Foundation, a nonprofit focused on local arts and culture, the event seeks to foster community engagement. Organizers encourage attendees to bring folding chairs, wear green, and enjoy the music and celebrations. More details are available at EDHTownCenter.com.
