Francis Bourgeois films new TV series in Wester Ross

TikTok star and train enthusiast Francis Bourgeois has been spotted filming an upcoming TV show in the village of Plockton, Wester Ross. The eight-part series, produced for Quest, features him alongside Chris Harris. Local inn manager Amanda Atkinson described hosting him as a pleasure.

Francis Bourgeois, a popular influencer, mechanical engineer, and railway enthusiast, was recently seen in Plockton, a village in Wester Ross, Scotland. He was there filming for his upcoming eight-part series, each episode lasting 60 minutes.

The show, produced by Naked West for the channel Quest, carries the working title We Saved a Train. It will star Bourgeois alongside presenter Chris Harris and is set to stream on Quest later this year.

Amanda Atkinson, general manager of the Plockton Inn, shared her experience of the filming. "It was a pleasure having him film at the Inn for his upcoming show," she said. "He is a bit of a celebrity in these parts, and has strong links to the area I believe."

Atkinson noted that Bourgeois was traveling on the Kyle line, heading toward Fort William. "Francis was travelling on the Kyle line and was headed to Fort William — we will hopefully see him again soon! It was an honour to host him," she added.

Bourgeois has built a significant following through his social media content focused on railways and transport. He boasts 2.4 million followers on Instagram and 3.3 million on TikTok.

Separately, Bourgeois has been announced as the new host for The Grand Tour, joining Thomas Holland and James Engelsman on the Amazon-produced series.

This sighting highlights Bourgeois's growing presence in television, blending his passion for trains with on-screen opportunities.
