PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia has introduced the Hyundai Subscribe program at the Indonesia International Motor Show 2026, allowing users to enjoy electric vehicles via monthly subscriptions without outright ownership. The program includes insurance, maintenance, and taxes, and marks the first such initiative in the Asia Pacific region with Indonesia as the pioneering country.
The way Indonesians view vehicle ownership is shifting with the rising popularity of electric cars. PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia has captured this trend by launching the Hyundai Subscribe program at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2026 in JIEXPO Kemayoran, Jakarta.
The program provides a monthly subscription option for electric vehicles, where users pay a fixed fee that covers insurance, maintenance, and taxes. This relieves users from the additional costs typically associated with conventional vehicle ownership.
"Hyundai Subscribe offers a flexible way for our customers to enjoy our latest technology without the constraints of traditional ownership. This program is introduced for the first time in the Asia Pacific region, with Indonesia selected as the first country," said Kenny Lee, President Director of PT Hyundai Solusi Mobilitas.
The launch reflects a lifestyle change prioritizing flexibility. Internal Hyundai data indicates growing interest in vehicle subscription models over recent years.
In the initial phase, the program features two models: Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 5 N. The Ioniq 5 is designed for daily use with a modern design, fast charging, and a spacious interior suitable for family activities. Meanwhile, the Ioniq 5 N delivers a sporty driving experience with high power, quick acceleration, and dynamic handling.
