Bulgarian designer Kiko Kostadinov has partnered with Asics to introduce the Ilargi FF, a new running shoe featuring a Tabi-inspired split toe. The sneaker debuts in two colorways and incorporates high-fashion elements into Asics' lightweight runner design. Release is scheduled for March 7, 2026.
Asics, a Japanese brand prominent in streetwear and collaborations over the past decade, continues its push into high fashion through its longstanding partnership with Bulgarian designer Kiko Kostadinov. In this latest collaboration, Kostadinov has modified a lightweight runner by adding a Tabi-inspired split-toe design and an Asics script logo on the lateral side.
The Kiko Kostadinov x Asics Ilargi FF debuts in two colorways: Blue and Carbon. The Blue version features a two-tone mix with black splashes, while the Carbon pair adopts a triple-black look. Both include leather across the split toe and vertical striping on the light fabric upper.
To promote the model, Kostadinov enlisted director Ryan Trecartin for off-kilter commercials styled like reality shows. These include references to rejection, sex with shoes, Esty, and Kiko himself.
The Ilargi FF Pack will launch on March 7, 2026, via Kostadinov's website, Asics, and select retailers, both in-store and online. It is available in unisex sizing, with the retail price yet to be determined.
