Measles vaccination drive begins in four regions

A measles vaccination campaign targeting more than 418,000 children has started in the Oromia, Amhara, Somali and South Ethiopia regions.

According to Tadese Yalev, a response specialist at the Ethiopian Public Health Institute, the campaign runs from May 28 to June 2, 2018 in the Ethiopian calendar. The drive aims to reach 418,569 children and will be delivered at schools, health facilities, door-to-door and wherever children are located. Communities have been urged to support the effort by ensuring children in their areas receive the vaccine.
