Digital Extremes will release Warframe on Nintendo Switch 2 on March 25, featuring graphical enhancements like 1080p at 60 FPS, faster load times, improved textures, and better shaders. The launch coincides with the free Shadowgrapher update across all platforms, introducing the 64th Warframe Follie, a 4v1 asymmetric Hunt mode, clan social features, and exclusive login rewards for Switch 2 players.
Digital Extremes announced Warframe's arrival on Nintendo Switch 2 during a recent devstream, with the free Shadowgrapher update launching simultaneously on March 25 across all platforms. In a July interview, CEO Steve Sinclair expressed excitement about the port, noting the studio awaited a Nintendo development kit to push the game's limits on the new console.
The Switch 2 version supports 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second in handheld and docked modes, plus faster load times, enhanced textures, improved shader quality, and mouse mode using the right Joy-Con face-down for navigation and menus.
Players logging in on Switch 2 from March 25 to April 15 will receive the exclusive Ambimanus Pack, including the Vericres Warfan weapon, Akomeogi Warfan weapon skin, Slicing Feathers Stance Mod, cosmetics, and Affinity/Credit boosters.
Shadowgrapher centers on Follie, the 64th Warframe with ink-themed abilities: disappearing into an inky canvas to reemerge and apply an Inkblot debuff, customizing drawings in a Sketchbook for mid-mission use, summoning an ink doppelganger to redirect damage, and attaching inky balloons to lift enemies. The update introduces Follie's Hunt, a 4v1 asymmetric multiplayer survival horror mode where four players complete unfinished paintings in the Vesper Relay ruins while evading Follie. Randomized modifiers vary each run, and Follie grows more aggressive as canvases are finished, shortening her cooldowns.
Additional content includes TennoGen cosmetics (five new items like Warframe skins and a weapon skin), deluxe skins and emotes for Gauss and Grendel, and Atragraph trading card Mods with animated frames (starting with 10 designs). Clan features comprise UI mission markers for clans and friends, resource bonuses for clanmate missions, clan-only matchmaking, weekly clan missions, clan merging, and clan-specific cosmetics like a group emote and Clan Glyph.
Operation: Atramentum runs from April 2 to 23, offering cosmetic rewards and items from previous operations.
Warframe's TennoCon 2026 is scheduled for July 10-11 in London, Ontario, featuring a cosplay contest, merch sales, autograph signings, TennoConcert, panels on art, music, and narrative, a Soulframe keynote, and the TennoLive livestream with major announcements.
