Irad Ortiz Jr.

Jockey Irad Ortiz Jr. was taken to Aventura Hospital following a fall during the fifth race at Gulfstream Park on Thursday. The incident occurred when his horse, A Moment a Love, ducked inward and crashed through the inner rail shortly after the start. Ortiz was conscious and reported hip pain but indicated he was fine to medical personnel.
