This event marks the indoor postseason for teams across the conference, with competitions in various track and field disciplines.
University of Memphis track and field teams are traveling to Birmingham to participate, as announced by their athletics department. Similarly, USF's track and field program heads to the meet, where the men's team enters as four-time reigning champions.
Temple University's women's indoor team will send 19 athletes to compete in 11 events. Key participants include Emelie Beckman in pole vault, who is tied for the school record at 4.10 meters and ranks No. 1 in the conference; Inara Shell in triple jump, with a program-second distance of 12.87 meters, placing her No. 3 in the conference; and Aly Doyle in 60-meter hurdles, ranked No. 17 at 8.64 seconds. Other events feature athletes like Janae Pettaway in the 60-meter dash and 200 meters, Kei-Mahri Hanna in the 400 meters (No. 9 in conference at 54.95 seconds), and Rian Johnson in the mile (personal record 4:56.22). Temple currently ranks 11th out of 13 schools with 99.44 points, behind leaders Charlotte (373.01), North Texas (357.00), and Tulane (301.84). Tulane won last season's title.
Charlotte 49ers are also set to compete, highlighting recent performances such as Zak Freeland's mile time of 3:58.82 at the ASICS Sound Invitational and Michael Rice Jr.'s 500m of 1:03.16. The women's distance medley relay team recorded 11:38.26 at the Hokie Invitational.
Four conference schools are nationally ranked: East Carolina (34th), Rice (75th), UTSA (91st), and Charlotte (111th). Awards including All-Conference honors for top-three finishers and Most Valuable Performance will be presented post-meet. The indoor season concludes with the NCAA Championships in Fayetteville, Arkansas, on March 13.
