Audio of Biden discussing classified materials released by watchdog

Newly released audio recordings show former President Joe Biden discussing classified documents stored in his basement with his ghostwriter in 2017.

The Oversight Project obtained and released the recordings after a legal battle. In the audio, Biden tells Mark Zwonitzer that he found “all the classified stuff downstairs” and warns that “some of this may be classified so be careful with it.”

Biden also states in the recordings that “this is classified” while reviewing materials. The Oversight Project said the tapes show Biden knew he possessed potentially classified information.

Oversight Project Vice President of Litigation Jeff Clark stated that Biden gave away “secret after secret to someone not authorized to hold such secrets” for “personal and family profit to the tune of $8 million.” Clark added that Americans want accountability for the matter.
