CFMOTO Australia has announced the release of its flagship MY26 1000MT-X adventure motorcycle, set to arrive in late May 2026 at a ride-away price of $18,990. The model offers two variants, including a low-suspension option, and features a 946cc parallel-twin engine with advanced electronics for both road and off-road use. Unveiled at EICMA 2025, it positions CFMOTO in the competitive litre-class adventure segment.

CFMOTO Australia revealed details of the MY26 1000MT-X, its new flagship adventure bike, which will reach dealerships in late May 2026. Priced at $18,990 ride-away, the motorcycle comes in a standard version and a 1000MT-X LS variant with reduced suspension travel for a lower seat height. Both will be available through CFMOTO's national dealer network.

The bike is powered by a 946cc liquid-cooled DOHC parallel-twin engine based on LC8c architecture, delivering 83kW at 8,500rpm and 105Nm at 6,250rpm. It maintains more than 90% of peak torque between 5,500rpm and 8,000rpm. The engine includes ceramic-coated cylinder bores, forged pistons, fracture-split connecting rods, NTN bearings, and an FCC clutch assembly, weighing 56kg in an all-alloy case. CFMOTO reports over 100,000km of endurance testing in harsh conditions like dust, heat, and corrugated surfaces.

Suspension features fully adjustable KYB 48mm upside-down front forks with 230mm travel (190mm on the LS model) and a KYB rear monoshock with remote preload adjuster. Braking uses Brembo dual 320mm front discs with four-piston radial calipers and a 260mm rear disc, aided by Bosch 6-axis IMU for cornering ABS, which can switch to Off-Road mode.

Electronics include Bosch MSE 9.0 ride-by-wire, bi-directional quickshifter, power-assisted slipper clutch, adjustable steering damper, traction control, wheelie control, cruise control, and five ride modes: Standard, Off-Road, Rain, All Terrain, and customizable Master. The bike has 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wire-spoke wheels fitted with Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres, a 22.5-litre fuel tank for over 500km range, heated grips and seat, adjustable windscreen, LED lighting, tyre pressure monitoring, and an 8-inch TFT touchscreen with CFMOTO RIDE app connectivity.

Standard protection includes a skid plate, handguards, and chain guard. Colors are Tactical Green and Aerolite Grey for the standard model, with Aerolite Grey only for the LS. Early buyers until 30 June 2026 can choose accessory packs: the $1,989 Adventure Pack with tall windscreen and luggage, or the $1,859 Rally Pack with crash bars and off-road gear. A three-year factory warranty applies, extendable to three years with authorized servicing.
