Caito fintade his way to create space and fired past goaltender Emil Larmi, with Lukas Vejdemo providing a perfect screen. "We go to the net, try to create chaos. I took the loose puck and Vejdemo did a perfect screen for me," Caito told TV4.

Färjestad responded in the third period, with Luke Philip equalizing before Vejdemo restored Leksand's advantage. However, Axel Bergqvist tied the game for the hosts, forcing overtime and eventually a shootout, where Färjestad prevailed to claim the two points.
