Garmin announces Cirqa Smart Band health tracker

Garmin has announced the Cirqa Smart Band, a screenless wearable for tracking health metrics. The device will be available to order starting July 24 for $200.

The Cirqa Smart Band tracks heart rate, skin temperature, stress, blood oxygen and energy levels using light sensors. It also provides sleep scores, breathing variations and menstrual cycle tracking, along with automatic detection of more than 80 workout types.

Users can wear the band on the wrist or upper arm. It offers a 10-day battery life and connects to the Garmin Connect app for data viewing, including connected GPS via a paired smartphone.

No subscription is required for core features, though a Garmin Connect Plus plan unlocks additional tools like AI insights and training plans. The device comes in multiple colors and sizes, with an optional upper arm band sold separately.

Garmin representatives emphasized that customers receive full value without mandatory fees, distinguishing the product from competitors like Whoop and Fitbit.
