Larian Studios has issued a small update for Baldur's Gate 3 on February 16, 2026, targeting technical issues like corrupted saves. The patch, version 1.800.700, aims to fix crashes and loading problems, particularly for progression from Act 2 to Act 3. While the studio shifts focus to a new project, it continues limited support for the RPG.
Baldur's Gate 3, the acclaimed fantasy RPG from Larian Studios, received update 1.800.700 on February 16, 2026, across PC, Mac, Steam Deck, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. This minor patch addresses lingering technical problems, including difficulties loading saves and advancing from Act 2 to Act 3 due to corrupted files.
The developers stated, “As it turns out, a few crashes and technical issues were still knocking about, so if you were getting stuck while loading saves, or trying to progress from Act 2 into Act 3, your corrupted saves should now be fixed!” On consoles, the update appears as version 4.1.1.7143914 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and 4.1.1.7151330 for PC, Mac, and Steam Deck.
Larian has indicated this may be among the final updates, as the studio moves on to a new Divinity game following the last feature-filled patch. The previous update, Hotfix 35 from three months prior, fixed issues such as a PS5 freeze when pressing L2, Xbox crashes in multiplayer sessions, Steam Deck crashes during saving or cross-play, and improved VRAM use on Nvidia GPUs along with faster loading times.
No new gameplay features or content are expected soon. Separately, a mod restoring cut early access content has appeared for the PC version.
