Pequignet has introduced a new icy blue variant of its Royale Paris Large Date and Moon watch. This 39.5mm model features a cool-toned dial inspired by winter light in the Jura mountains. The timepiece is powered by the brand's in-house Calibre Royal movement.
Pequignet, a French watch manufacturer based in Morteau, continues to refine its Royale Paris collection with the launch of the Icy Blue edition. The brand, known for its efforts to establish itself as one of the few true French watchmakers, recently updated the line with a more contemporary 39.5mm case design. This new variant maintains the core specifications of the updated model while introducing a distinctive dial color.
The stainless steel case measures 39.5mm in diameter and 11.5mm thick, featuring alternating polished and satin-brushed finishes. It includes extended lugs, a slim bezel secured by screws, and a domed sapphire crystal. A corrector at the 8:30 position facilitates moon phase adjustments, and the watch offers 50m water resistance.
The icy blue dial draws inspiration from the winter light over the Jura mountains near Pequignet's Morteau facility. Its metallic hue complements a grained texture, sandblasted engravings, and a fluted small seconds subdial at 3:30. The asymmetrical layout places the power reserve indicator at 8 o'clock and the day-date window centrally above the dial's center. At 6 o'clock, a double moon phase display serves both Northern and Southern Hemispheres, with diamond-polished moons adding subtle sparkle. Polished steel hour and minute hands filled with blue-emission Super-LumiNova ensure clear readability.
Inside, the Calibre Royal automatic movement handles all complications on a single plate, providing a 96-hour power reserve. Produced in Morteau with components sourced within an 80km radius, it is visible through a sapphire caseback, revealing a large balance with compensation screws and a decorated oscillating weight.
The watch comes on an interchangeable pearl-grey nubuck leather strap with a folding clasp. It will be available starting April 2026 as a permanent edition, priced at EUR 8,000 including VAT. Further details are available on pequignet.com.
