Nag-sign ng ilang business agreements ang mga kumpanya mula sa Pilipinas at South Korea sa isang forum na dinaluhan ng mga pangulo ng dalawang bansa noong Miyerkules, Marso 4. Kasama sa mga sektor ang shipbuilding, nuclear energy, at iba pa. Binigyang-puri ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang mga Korean firm dahil sa kanilang interes sa economic cooperation.

Sa Philippines-Korea Business Forum, nagpahayag ng pagtanggap si Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. sa mga Korean firm na nagpapakita ng interes sa pagtutulungan sa ekonomiya. Ayon sa kanya, ang mga agreements na nilagdaan sa mga industriya tulad ng shipbuilding, nuclear energy, aerospace, critical minerals, supply chain at retail, health at wellness ay nagpapakita ng kanilang sigla upang palalimin ang relasyon sa private sector.

'Samahan ng mga ito ang magiging malalaking partnerships na magbibigay ng mga proyekto, investments, at livelihood. Kaya sa mga partners mula sa Korea: Ang inyong investment sa Pilipinas ay nagpapakita ng strategic at forward-looking na desisyon,' ani Marcos.

Isa sa mga napirmahang agreement ay ang memorandum of understanding sa pagitan ng Korea Export-Import Bank (KEXIM), Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP), at Meralco para sa nuclear power development na sinusuportahan ng Korea. Sa ilalim nito, magbibigay ng financial support ang KEXIM para sa mga nuclear projects na kinabibilangan ng Korean firms, habang magsuplay ng technology ang KHNP, ayon sa statement ng KEXIM.

Sinabi rin ni Marcos na patuloy na gagawa ng gobyerno ng mga hakbang upang gawing madali ang negosyo para sa foreign firms, tulad ng CREATE MORE Act, Capital Markets Efficiency Promotion Act, Amended Foreign Investments Act, at Amended Retail Trade Liberalization Act. 'Sama-sama, ang mga batas na ito ay bumubuo ng isang coherent strategy upang lumikha ng dynamic, inclusive, at resilient na ekonomiya,' dagdag niya.
