The race for the Final Four in the Proliga 2026 men's division gained clarity after the Bojonegoro series ended on Sunday night, February 15, 2026. Surabaya Samator secured their spot in the semifinals by defeating Medan Falcons Tirta Bhagasasi 3-1 at GOR Utama Bojonegoro. This marked Samator's third win in seven matches this season, while Bhagasasi has yet to secure a victory.
The Bojonegoro series, part of the second round of the Proliga 2026 men's division, concluded with a competitive final match. Surabaya Samator dominated early, winning the first set 25-17 and the second 25-23 against Medan Falcons Tirta Bhagasasi. Although they dropped the third set 22-25, Samator rallied in the fourth to close the match 25-17, resulting in a 3-1 aggregate.
This victory locked in Samator's standing in the standings, untouchable by closest rivals like Jakarta Garuda Jaya. Mathematically, three wins from seven matches suffice for advancement to the Final Four. Meanwhile, Bhagasasi remains at the bottom without a single win, ensuring elimination alongside other lower teams.
Samator's manager, Hadi, expressed gratitude for the team's achievement. "Losing one set in the middle of a two-set lead is normal for a team with many young players, due to the tendency to lose focus when feeling ahead," he said.
Bhagasasi's coach, Ariyanto Joko Sutrisno, highlighted the team's weaknesses. "The loss was triggered by poor receive quality, so the attack pattern didn't develop. Bad service reception made it hard to build effective attacks," he stated.
The top of the standings solidified: Jakarta LavAni Livin Transmedia leads with a perfect record, followed by Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi. Samator holds third place, sufficient for progression, while the bottom two teams are out of the Final Four contention.
