Late Payment Waiver

The Delhi government plans to disconnect water connections for consumers who fail to settle their outstanding bills by March 31, 2026, following a waiver scheme on late payment surcharges. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced the initiative in October, aiming to recover over Rs 5,100 crore from pending dues totaling Rs 16,000 crore. So far, nearly 21,000 customers have benefited, with collections reaching Rs 32.79 crore.
