Apple TV shares teaser for Margo's Got Money Troubles series

Apple TV has released a teaser and photos for the upcoming eight-episode series Margo's Got Money Troubles, created by David E. Kelley. The show stars Elle Fanning as a young mother navigating financial struggles, with a premiere set for April 2026. It draws from Rufi Thorpe's bestselling novel and features a notable ensemble cast.

At the 2026 Apple TV Press Day, stars including Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, Nick Offerman, and Nicole Kidman, along with showrunner David E. Kelley, unveiled a teaser for Margo's Got Money Troubles. The series, produced by A24, is based on Rufi Thorpe's novel of the same name and follows Margo, a recent college dropout and aspiring writer played by Fanning. As the daughter of an ex-Hooters waitress (Pfeiffer) and an ex-pro wrestler (Offerman), Margo faces challenges with a new baby, mounting bills, and limited options to pay them.

The ensemble cast also includes Thaddea Graham, Academy Award winner Marcia Gay Harden, Academy Award nominee Greg Kinnear, Michael Angarano, musician Rico Nasty, and Lindsey Normington. Apple TV described the show as "a bold, heartwarming and comedic family drama."

The eight-episode Apple Original will premiere globally on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, with three episodes available initially, followed by one new episode every Wednesday until May 20, 2026. David E. Kelley serves as showrunner, writer, and executive producer. Other executive producers include Elle Fanning, Dakota Fanning, and Brittany Kahan Ward for Lewellen Pictures; Nicole Kidman and Per Saari for Blossom Films; and Matthew Tinker for David E. Kelley Productions. Michelle Pfeiffer, Rufi Thorpe, Eva Anderson, and Boo Killebrew also executive produce.

Dearbhla Walsh, a BAFTA and Emmy Award winner, directs the pilot and executive produces, with additional direction from Kate Herron and Alice Seabright. This project marks Kelley's latest collaboration with Apple TV, following the Emmy-nominated drama Presumed Innocent, which is now producing its second season.
