Hanna Onufriieva breaks school triple jump record at Wooo Pig Classic

Senior Hanna Onufriieva of Harding University set a new school record in the triple jump with a leap of 12.24 meters at the Wooo Pig Classic in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Her performance led the Lady Bisons against strong Division I competition. Several teammates also achieved notable results in various events.

At the Wooo Pig Classic, hosted by the University of Arkansas at the Randal Tyson Track Center on February 7, 2026, Harding University's women's track and field team competed against Division I programs including Arkansas, Notre Dame, and Missouri State. The event highlighted strong performances from the Lady Bisons, with senior Hanna Onufriieva delivering the standout moment.

In the triple jump, Onufriieva jumped 12.24 meters (40 feet, 2 inches) to finish fourth overall, surpassing her previous school record of 40 feet, 0.75 inches set in 2025. This mark qualifies as an NCAA provisional and positions her among Division II's top jumpers. Teammate Karyna Vehner placed seventh in the triple jump with 12.07 meters (39 feet, 7.25 inches), also earning a provisional qualifier, and added a top-10 finish in the pole vault at 3.55 meters (11 feet, 7.75 inches).

Other athletes neared program records. Sophomore Carly Tucker took fifth in the long jump with 5.65 meters (18 feet, 6.5 inches), just half an inch short of the 37-year-old record. In the 60-meter dash preliminaries, sophomore Jerlana Williams ran 7.63 seconds for 13th place; she holds the school record of 7.48 seconds as the only Harding athlete under 7.50. Senior Cadence Sansom cleared 3.85 meters (12 feet, 7.5 inches) in the pole vault for sixth and a provisional, pursuing her own record of 13 feet, 4.25 inches from last season.

On the track, Tetiana Kharashchuk ran the 400 meters in 54.77 seconds for 15th, an NCAA provisional and one of the Central Region's fastest times; sophomore Jayden Bowman followed in 34th at 57.78 seconds. Senior Kaia Bieker placed 10th in the 800 meters with 2:17.33, and freshman Oreoluwa Odenike led Harding in the 200 meters at 25.59 seconds. In field events, freshman Yedidya Bangue threw the shot put 13.63 meters (44 feet, 8.75 inches) for seventh, while junior Ally Cheek cleared 1.60 meters (5 feet, 3 inches) in the high jump for 10th.

The Lady Bisons next head to the Music City Challenge in Nashville, Tennessee, on February 13-14.
