Judge condemns Mauricio Tabe and two PAN members for moral damage to Miguel Torruco

A civil court in Mexico City ordered compensation to Miguel Torruco Marqués after ruling that statements by Mauricio Tabe and other PAN members damaged his honor during the 2024 electoral process.

The 24th Civil Court of the Superior Court of Justice of Mexico City issued the ruling in favor of the former federal tourism secretary.

The resolution establishes that claims about a property in San Antonio, Texas, were false, as the asset was properly declared.

The judge ordered payment of 41,058.50 pesos for moral damage and publication of the ruling on social media and a capital newspaper.

Torruco Marqués stated that the decision vindicates his honor and that public servants have a duty to verify information before spreading it.
