Authorities in Waco, Texas, have charged Terriana Johnson with aggravated assault following an incident where she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend during an argument over his phone. The event occurred at a home on the 1900 block of South 5th Street. Johnson was booked into McLennan County Jail on Thursday.
The altercation took place on Wednesday at the residence where Johnson and her boyfriend, who had been together for about one year, were staying. According to an arrest affidavit, the boyfriend was in the shower when Johnson entered the bathroom, screaming at him. Upon exiting, he saw her approaching from the kitchen holding three knives. She reportedly said, "I'm going to cut you if you don't give me your f— phone."
The boyfriend attempted to shield himself with bed sheets, but Johnson allegedly cut his left arm with a knife. He then fled to a neighbor's home, prompting police to respond to the scene.
When officers arrived, Johnson claimed her boyfriend had taken her phone and pushed her to the ground, though she showed no visible injuries. The boyfriend, when contacted and later examined in person, confirmed the stabbing and displayed the arm injury. Questioned about it, Johnson denied knowledge of the wound and stated she had been holding scissors during the dispute, claiming they were "to cut the sheets."
Johnson, whose age was not specified in records, was arrested and held on a $10,000 bond at McLennan County Jail. The incident highlights tensions in personal relationships that can escalate quickly, as detailed in the police report reviewed by local media.
