Tiwi/Fadia advance to last 16 at All England 2026 after beating Taiwanese pair

The Indonesian women's doubles pair, Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi and Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti, known as Tiwi/Fadia, advanced to the last 16 at the All England Open 2026. They defeated Hsu Ya Ching and Sung Yu-Hsuan from Taiwan 21-16, 22-20 in the round of 32. Next, they face a Japanese seeded pair.

At Utilita Arena in Birmingham, England, on Thursday, March 5, 2026, early morning WIB, Tiwi/Fadia began their campaign at the prestigious All England Open 2026 with a straight-sets victory. Though appearing convincing, the match against the Taiwanese representatives was not entirely smooth.

Fadia expressed gratitude for completing the match without injury. "Today's match, Alhamdulillah, we could finish without injury. In the first game, we were really comfortable playing. Only in the second game, we followed the opponent's pattern too much, got hasty, and made many unforced errors," Fadia said via PBSI statement.

In the second game, pressure mounted as Tiwi/Fadia trailed significantly. However, they turned the tide in crucial moments by reverting to their initial playing pattern. "We also tried to switch back to the pattern we played at the start," Tiwi said.

Fadia acknowledged the fierce resistance from their opponents. "The Chinese Taipei pair has good anticipation; their front player has a tall stature, so we struggled with half-court shots to the front," she added.

For Fadia, competing at All England this year feels special after facing obstacles in previous editions. "Of course, I'm happy to play at All England with Tiwi; Insya Allah, we will stay together," she revealed. This win propels Tiwi/Fadia to the last 16, where they will face a seeded Japanese pair.
