Brooklyn Brewery, under supplier Carlsberg Britvic, has introduced three limited-edition craft beers: Bel Air Sour, Fonio Rising Double Pilsner, and Black Chocolate Stout. These beers launched exclusively in Tesco ahead of a broader market rollout in the coming weeks.
Bel Air Sour, with 5% abv and an rsp of £3.25 for 440ml, is described as a "tart and tropical sour ale" ideal for flavour explorers seeking something refreshing and different. Fonio Rising Double Pilsner, at 6.4% abv and £3.75 for 440ml, uses the ancient west African grain fonio, renowned for its unique flavour, to deliver a "robust and crisp golden lager with notes of tropical fruit". The Black Chocolate Stout, offering 8.4% abv and priced at £4.25 for 440ml, features "notes of rich cocoa and fresh ground espresso".
The new offerings provide retailers an opportunity to "tap into craft beer" while appealing to a broad range of beer drinkers, according to Carlsberg Britvic. They reflect the vibrant, creative spirit of Brooklyn, the brand's namesake borough, and build on the brewing expertise of brewmaster Garrett Oliver.
"Craft drinkers are constantly exploring - they want distinctive styles and limited products that bring something new to the category," said Anna Cheatley, marketing controller of craft & ale at Carlsberg Britvic. "These new additions not only reflect the vibrant, creative spirit of Brooklyn... but also build on our long-standing craft credentials and brewing expertise of our brewmaster, Garrett Oliver. Through bold can designs and distinctive flavours, Bel Air Sour, Fonio Rising Double Pilsner and Black Chocolate Stout are designed to stand out on-shelf, helping retailers to drive sales."
The beers are inspired by Brooklyn's creative energy and aim to stand out with their bold designs and unique profiles.
