The Saratoga Automobile Museum announced an upcoming exhibition dedicated to the history of Mercedes-Benz, marking the brand's 140-year milestone. Scheduled from May 4 through October 25, 2026, the exhibit titled 'Mercedes-Benz 1886-2026' will be on view in Saratoga Springs, New York.
This immersive presentation will trace the origins of Mercedes-Benz, highlighting the contributions of pioneers Karl Benz, Gottlieb Daimler, and Wilhelm Maybach. Visitors can expect to learn about Bertha Benz's 1888 journey, recognized as the world's first long-distance drive by automobile. The exhibit will also cover Mercedes-Benz's advancements in safety, engineering, and motorsport.
A selection of notable vehicles will anchor the display, including the 1938 540K, the 1955 300SL Gullwing, the 190E Evolution II, the G63 6x6, and the rare Mercedes-Benz SLR Stirling Moss, of which only 75 units were produced globally. These cars represent key eras in the company's evolution, from early innovations to modern high-performance models like the Mercedes-AMG ONE.
