In the final group stage match of mixed doubles curling at the 2026 Winter Olympics, the Swedish sibling pair Rasmus and Isabella Wranå lost to the USA 7–8. The match was close, tied at 7–7 before the last end, but the USA pulled ahead to win. Despite the defeat, a semifinal spot was secured when Norway beat Switzerland 6–3 in a parallel match, preventing Switzerland from overtaking Sweden in the standings.
The Wranå siblings watched the tense Norway-Switzerland match after their own loss. “It’s completely incredible. We just stand there and can’t take our eyes off their game,” says Rasmus Wranå in SVT’s broadcast. His younger sister Isabella Wranå adds: “I’m very proud of the journey we’ve made, I feel charged up and believe in us in the playoffs.” In another interview, Rasmus describes the feeling as “incredible,” and Isabella says she is “supercharged” for what’s next.
