A Pulse Asia survey shows that 29.8 percent of Filipinos want President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to address corruption in his fifth State of the Nation Address scheduled for Monday, July 27.
The poll conducted from June 28 to July 3 found that investigating the flood control scandal ranked highest among specific corruption concerns at 18.9 percent. Prices of basic goods came second at 18.7 percent while livelihood issues followed at 6.6 percent.
Other priorities included alleviating poverty at 6.2 percent and the campaign against illegal drugs at 5.5 percent. Rising wages drew 5.1 percent support and lowering oil prices 4.9 percent.
The survey interviewed 2400 adults and carries a 2 percent margin of error. Malacañang has described the address as simple but dignified while public attention focuses on inflation jobs and the West Philippine Sea.
