Marquette University men's track and field sophomore Frankie McGee has been selected as the Blue & Gold Student-Athlete of the Month for March. McGee balances academics, leadership roles, and athletic achievements on the team. His recent performances at the BIG EAST Indoor Championships highlight his contributions to the program.
Frankie McGee, a sophomore on the Marquette University Men's Track & Field team, pursues a double major in Corporate Communications and Criminology & Law Studies, along with a minor in Sports Communication. Beyond athletics, McGee serves as a Student Ambassador for the university, participating in Admissions events, campus tours, and recruitment initiatives.
This academic year, McGee works as a Resident Advisor in a residence hall for first-year students. In this role, he facilitates floor meetings, mediates conflicts, implements wellness programming, and acts as the primary on-call responder for student concerns or crises, with a focus on student safety. Additionally, he mentors first-generation college students through a program connected to his high school alma mater.
Athletically, McGee competed at the 2026 BIG EAST Indoor Championships last weekend, where he finished fifth in the 200m and seventh in the 400m races. He also contributed to the 4x400m relay team, which placed fifth and recorded the second-fastest time in Marquette University history for the event. Throughout his time at Marquette, McGee has established multiple all-time top-10 marks in both indoor and outdoor competitions, making him an integral part of the sprints program.
The Blue & Gold Student-Athlete recognition underscores McGee's commitment to excellence in academics, leadership, and athletics at Marquette University.
