Lamb of God announces listening parties for Into Oblivion album

Lamb of God will mark the release of their tenth studio album, Into Oblivion, with nationwide listening parties at over 140 record stores from March 13 to 15. The album, their first since 2022, arrives via Epic Records on March 13. Exclusive merchandise and limited-edition vinyl will be available at the events.

Lamb of God, the metal band from Richmond, Virginia, is set to release Into Oblivion, their tenth studio album and first new material since 2022, on March 13 via Epic. To celebrate, the group has organized listening parties across more than 140 independent record stores in the United States from March 13 to 15. Participating stores include Amoeba Music in Los Angeles, Waterloo Records in Austin, Generation Records in New York, Repo Records in Philadelphia, and Plan 9 Music in Richmond, among many others spanning states from California to Wyoming.

Attendees can expect exclusive Into Oblivion merchandise, free band swag while supplies last, prizes, and an indie-exclusive limited-edition Poltergeist vinyl variant. For those unable to attend, pre-orders are available now, featuring remaining limited-edition vinyl variants, a collectible CD bundled with a zine containing album art sketches, handwritten lyrics, and previously unseen studio photos, plus additional themed merchandise.

The album's title track, "Into Oblivion," debuted alongside a video directed by Tom Flynn and Mike Watts. Earlier singles previewed the record: "Sepsis," the band's first new song since 2022, which pays homage to the early 1990s Richmond underground scene that influenced their early years. Consequence described it as featuring "Mark Morton's riffs [that] are bruising at this slower pace," with singer Randy Blythe "bellow[ing] like a heavy metal Nick Cave." The follow-up, "Parasocial Christ," was called an "anti-tech thrasher" by Revolver.

Produced and mixed by longtime collaborator Josh Wilbur, the album was recorded in locations tied to the band's roots: drums in Richmond, guitars and bass at guitarist Mark Morton's home studio, and vocals by Blythe at Total Access studio in Redondo Beach, California, known for punk classics by Black Flag, Hüsker Dü, and Descendents.

This release follows a busy 2025 for Lamb of God, marking their 25th discography anniversary with the "Back To The Beginning" concert, a cover of Black Sabbath's "Children Of The Grave," festival appearances at Inkcarceration and Louder Than Life, and a headline show at Richmond's Allianz Amphitheater. The band also announced a spring North American tour starting March 17, joined by Kublai Khan TX, Fit for an Autopsy, and Sanguisugabogg.
