US Equestrian has named Jeffrey Stuart as the Chef d'Équipe for the U.S. Endurance Team ahead of the 2026 competition year. Stuart will guide the team through preparations for the FEI Endurance World Championship in Al Ula, Saudi Arabia, on November 28, 2026. His appointment draws on decades of experience in endurance riding and military leadership.
The announcement came from US Equestrian in Lexington, Kentucky, highlighting Stuart's extensive background in the sport. He entered endurance riding in 1999 and has held roles such as national endurance ride manager for 11 years and crew support at recent FEI Championships. Stuart has also trained horses to FEI level and collaborated with top competitors.
Beyond equestrian activities, Stuart served in the United States military from 1976 to 2011, taking on leadership positions including Commander, Director, and Chief of Staff. These experiences have informed his views on preparation, accountability, and team unity, topics he often addresses in speaking engagements.
In his new position, Stuart will manage team coordination, preparation, and strategy for the 2026 FEI Endurance World Championship. He will work alongside team veterinarian Dr. Olivia Rudolphi and Team Leader Nicole Zerbee to foster a focused approach toward international competition.
Stuart expressed enthusiasm for the role, stating, "I am so excited and grateful to be part of this team. The organization, horse owners, riders, vets, support/crews, and everyone involved have the best opportunity we’ve had to do great things in Alula Saudi Arabia this coming November. I am looking forward to meeting everyone and working with U.S. Endurance."
