Xiaomi launched its new premium Android tablet, the Pad 8, in India on March 10, 2026, after its global debut at the 2026 Mobile World Congress. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, offering up to 12 GB LPDDR5T RAM and 256 GB UFS 4.1 storage. The company promises four years of Android OS updates and six years of security updates.
The Pad 8 runs on HyperOS 3 out of the box, featuring updated lock screens, wallpapers, and customisable widgets. It includes a new dock to support a larger number of apps and workstation mode for PC-level browser support. Stylus compatibility is provided via the Focus Pen Pro, sold as an accessory with rotation support.
It sports an 11-inch 3.2K display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The tablet is equipped with a 9,200 mAh battery supporting 45W turbo charging, and a 67W charger is included in the box.
Pricing starts at ₹33,999 for the 8 GB/128 GB variant, ₹36,999 for the 12 GB/256 GB model, and ₹38,999 for the Nano Texture version of the latter. The Creator’s Edition, bundling the Focus Pen Pro, is priced at ₹41,999 for the standard display and ₹43,999 for Nano Texture. Sales begin on March 17 via Amazon, Xiaomi's website, and retail partners.
