Albion equestrian teams perform well in weekend shows

The Albion College hunt seat equestrian team placed third in both days of shows hosted by Lake Erie College in Painesville, Ohio, on February 14-15. Meanwhile, the western equestrian team earned high point honors for both days of their home show at Held Equestrian Center in Albion, Michigan, over the same weekend.

On February 14-15, 2026, Albion College's equestrian programs competed in separate events. The hunt seat team participated in shows organized by Lake Erie College in Painesville, Ohio, securing third place overall in both competitions. Riders involved included Melaney Duenas Lopez, Beatrice Eng-McDonald, Aine Carey, Anna Harvey, Anna Huard, Phoebe Martin, Maggie Sorrelle, Simone Taylor, and Rebecca Till.

In Albion, Michigan, the western equestrian team hosted their own two-day show at the Held Equestrian Center and claimed high point team honors each day. The participating riders were Stellamia Aerts, Rose Stanton, Claire Stier, Avery Vick, Madison Weedon, Lily Jurvelin, Riley Long, Dixie McKibbin, Miranda Mott, and Jennah Skiba.
