Japanese retailer atmos has previewed a new collaboration with New Balance on the ABZORB 2010 sneaker, inspired by wasabi green. The design features shaggy suede and mesh in earthy tones, with details revealed through teaser images. No release date or price has been announced yet.
Japanese sneaker retailer atmos, known for its creative partnerships, has teased an upcoming collaboration with New Balance on the ABZORB 2010 model, dubbed the "Wasabi" edition. The preview, shared by atmos creative director Hirofumi Kojima—also referred to as Koji—on Instagram, highlights a design inspired by the bold green tones and texture of the Japanese horseradish condiment.
From the close-up teaser images, the shoe incorporates dark green and grey hairy suede overlays, steel grey mesh, and shaggy suede that mirrors the natural earthy color of wasabi. Additional details include a reflective grey New Balance logo on the tongue, white insoles with NB 2010 branding on the left shoe and Japanese characters on the right, creamy off-white laces, and neutral off-white elements on the collar for contrast. The ABZORB 2010 silhouette, powered by ABZORB cushioning, is entering its second year on the market and has seen prior collaborations, such as with KHAKIS.
Atmos has a history of active collaborations, including projects in 2025 with Nike's Air Max 95, Converse Chuck 70, and Salomon XT-4. Kojima noted in the preview that the pair is "coming soon," with one source suggesting a potential 2026 release. Official release details, including date and retail price, have not been announced, but more information is expected in the near future.
