ClaroVTR becomes first Chilean operator to include Netflix in plans

ClaroVTR announced that its mobile, fiber internet and television customers will be able to access Netflix, becoming the first telecommunications operator in Chile to offer this integrated benefit.

The joint venture ClaroVTR, which operates the Claro and VTR brands, launched plans that incorporate a Netflix subscription. Users will be able to enjoy the catalog of movies, series and documentaries through their existing mobile services with free gigabytes, fiber internet and television.

Nicolás Sabando, vice president of the consumer market at Claro Chile, said the alliance aims to simplify access to multiple platforms. “En Claro y VTR fuimos pioneros en avanzar hacia un modelo de integración”, he stated.

Esteban Mina, vice president of partnerships at Netflix for Latin America, noted that the agreement responds to high digital adoption in Chile. As part of the launch, Claro offers the Internet Fibra 600 plan for 19,990 pesos, which includes the Netflix subscription.
